Ken Hackathorn Handgun Class

Master firearms instructor Ken Hackathorn will be hosting a basic handgun class in Texas on November 11 through 12.

Hackathorn will cover sight alignment, sight picture, trigger press, follow-through, breath control, grip, stance, recoil control, presentation from a holster, re-loads and basic to intermediate self-defense shooting skills.

In order to attend, students must have a reliable service pistol (preferably 9mm), four magazines, a safe holster (no Serpa’s), a magazine pouch, shooting glasses, ear protection and 800 rounds of ammunition. There will be no Blazer or other non-reloadable ammunition allowed.

All attendees are expected to have safe gun handling skills.

The class will be held at Circle WC Ranch in Cuthand, TX. Class will be begin at 9:00 a.m. each day. The class will consist of a maximum of 16 students.

There will be PMC Bronze 9mm 115gr FMJ RN ammunition available for sale at a cost of $13.00 per box of 50rds.

Hackathorn has served as a US Army Special Forces Small Arms Instructor, Gunsite Head Instructor and NRA Police Firearms Instructor and is currently an FBI Certified Firearms Instructor, Certified Deputy Sheriff and a SRT member and Special Response Team trainer. He has been a firearms and tactical training advisor to special agencies all over the world.
