Shotgun Solo-Vault with 200M Mechanical Lock
Shotgun Solo-Vault Key Override
This new mechanical lock features an ergonomic 8 button design with more spacing which eliminates missed combo entries, the press release states. It also boasts a new lock-clutch feature which prevents somebody from spinning the lock handle in an attempt to break in. Another appealing aspect to this lock is a new key override feature which lets you access your weapon if you’ve somehow forgotten your combination.
“Over the last 4 years we have watched closely what was going on with our product. We really had very few issues however forgotten combos was one of the biggest…a key override will help with that, plus we provide 3 additional keys so if those get lost well…we will still have to give you drill out instructions!” said Sales & Marketing Director Don Fenton.
The Shotgun Solo-Vault is capable of securing a majority of pump, semi-auto, double barrel and over/under shotguns. It has a 14 gauge steel frame with dual internal locking points, as well as a reversible left or right opening door. In addition, it’s easily mountable on a wall or vehicle and it accommodates left & right handed shotguns.
“2013 presented some challenges for us with the product.” said Fenton. “We had great demand for the product and a solid growth curve, we just got to a point where our lock manufacturer could not supply that demand. We made a decision then and there to commit to developing our own lock, and to make it better. It’s been a learning experience for sure but one that we and the product are the better for.”
