These Austrian-made threaded barrels add approximately 0.5 inches in length when compared to the non-threaded models. Glock’s OEM barrels are constructed of high-grade steel and feature European left-hand thread patterns— 13.5×1 on the G17, G19 and G23, and 16×1 on the G21 SF. The 9mm and .40 S&W barrels have a 1-in-9.84-inch twist rate while the .45 ACP barrels feature a 1-in-15.74-inch twist rate. The rifling follows the same polygonal pattern made famous by Glock over the years.
The addition of the new Glock TB models gives operators a reliable, suppressor-ready platform for training, covert tactical use or varmint control in the real world. Individual threaded barrels will also be available for sale from the company in the near future.
