Taylor’s & Co. has built a longstanding reputation in the Cowboy Action shooting community with its classic rifle designs, and this year the company has added to its collection by introducing the Ridge Runner. The rifle is an 1886 take-down model featuring a classic lever action and a .45-70 chambering. It will be offered in three models—matte black, chrome and standard walnut stocks—and all will feature an integrated muzzle brake and the ability to be taken down into two pieces for maximum portability in the field. The matte black and chrome versions will have 4+1 capacity while the walnut-stocked version will hold 8+1 rounds.
This year, Taylor’s Tactical has also released a series of full-sized 1911-style pistols featuring Cerakote finishes. The Taylor’s Dark Earth Full Size features a Cerakote finish, a skeletonized trigger, an ambidextrous safety and custom G10 grips to give it a custom-grade appearance. A Picatinny rail allows for the addition of lights or laser aiming devices. Chambered in .45 ACP, each Full Size model offers an 8+1 capacity, a 5-inch barrel and an 8.75-inch overall length. An adjustable rear and dovetailed front blade sight are also included for simplified targeting.
