Sportsmen and women alike can now experience all the advantages of an interchangeable firearms platform by taking home a second-generation Thompson/Center Arms G2 Contender as part of a complete rifle or pistol system.

According to the press release, the complete rifle and pistol systems transition easily from plinking to big-game hunting. Chambered in .30-30 Win. (Complete Rifle System) as well as .22LR and .357 Magnum (Complete Pistol Systems), the T/C G2 Contender rifle and pistol both come complete with a barrel, stock and forend. Hunters and shooters can customize the G2 Contender complete rifle with barrels in blued or stainless, as well as seven calibers ranging from 17 HMR to 30-30 Win. Meanwhile, 11 different calibers from 17 HMR to 45 Colt/410 Bore are available as an accessory barrel for the G2 Contender complete pistol.

The new G2 Contender complete pistol and rifle are both compatible with previous G2 Contender models. The frame accepts all Contender barrels and their corresponding forends (except for the Herrett Forend). Blued and stainless barrels are also interchangeable. In addition, sights and optics mounted onto barrels stay sighted in and ready to perform when returned to the firearm.
