While Rock River Arms (RRA) is primarily known for producing dozens of top-quality AR-platform carbines in a variety of chamberings to suit any need, the company also produces tank-tough 1911s for everyday carry. One such pistol is the new 1911 Carry, which starts with a forged National Match frame and slide.

The slide hosts forward and rear serrations as well as a Heinie Ledge rear sight with a tritium insert and a dovetailed tritium front sight. Inside the slide is a throated, 5-inch barrel, and the ejection port is lowered and flared for reliability. The extractor is tuned and polished while the ejector is extended.
The frame features a flat mainspring housing with 25-lpi checkering that matches the 25-lpi-checkered frontstrap. RRA also installs double-diamond-checkered rosewood grip panels, a tactical magazine catch and safety, a Commander-style hammer and sear, and a standard recoil system. The pistol is guaranteed to shoot 2.5-inch groups at 50 yards with 185-grain Federal Gold Medal Match ammunition.
