European American Armory (EAA) Corporation has introduced an innovative carry method for pocket pistols. The belt-mounted ABDO is a locking safe that looks like a smartphone or small tablet belt case. The injection-molded case holds the gun inside with a peg running inside the barrel for stability and an easy drawstroke. With the case unlocked, it can be easily opened by sliding a catch that allows the outer shell to drop open for quick retrieval. When locked, the high-impact plastic case prevents anyone from gaining access to the firearm for carry or storage.
EAA also offers the Smart ABDO, a smartphone-compatible version with an electronic lock that can be armed/disarmed wirelessly. A pin pad on the outside makes it easy to lock the case or let it know you’re dismounting it, etc., while text messages are sent to your phone every time the ABDO is moved.
