Streamlight is rolling out its new KeyMate USB, an ultra-compact, hands-free area light that’ll satisfy your lighting needs in a number of different situations. Looking to light up a basement? Check. Wanna bring it with you on a nighttime jog? Check. Need lighting during a power outage? Check. You get the idea.

The KeyMate USB rechargeable light, which is shaped like a key so it can easily be attached to a key ring or zipper pull, features a bright white LED and boasts three modes: High (35 lumens); Low (16 lumens); and Strobe (flashes at High lumen level). The light runs for one hour on High and two hours in Low and Strobe.

According to the press release, the new light uses a 110 mAh Lithium Polymer cell, with Red and Green LED lights letting you know if the USB is in the process of charging or is fully charged.

The KeyMate USB features a metal body and offers durable, reinforced construction, Streetlight says. The light measures just 2.9 inches wide, 1.08 inches thick, and weighs just .5 ounces. In other words, this thing is compact. It’s also IPX4 rated for weather resistance, and is impact resistant-tested to one meter.

The KeyMate USB is available at a suggested retail price of $28.00.
