Missouri-based gun maker Ed Brown Products has added a compact model to its venerable lineup of 1911s.

Built as a result of customer demand, the Ed Brown Compact 1911 has an Officer’s sized frame for easy concealment, as well as a 4.25-inch Commander model slide for a longer sight radius. This gun comes standard with the custom features one would expect on an Ed Brown 1911, like fully-machined components and a lifetime written warranty.

The Ed Brown Compact 1911 boasts 25 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing; fixed black rear sight and red fiber optic front sight; checkered laminate wood grips for that classy 1911 look; matte finished slide for low glare with “square cut” serrations on the rear of the slide; and a weight of 37 oz with an unloaded magazine inserted.

“It is always exciting to add new models, and the new Compact 1911 really shows our customers that we are working to meet their needs,” John May, Ed Brown’s Sales and Marketing Director, said in a statement.

MSRP for the Ed Brown Compact 1911 starts at $2,695, which goes up should you choose to personalize it to your liking.
