The course begins with an historical overview of the Glock phenomenon. After a safety briefing, the course instructor uses both live and cutaway versions of Glocks to explain in minute detail how everything works.
I am a mechanical engineer and a gun nerd of the most hopeless sort, and I learned a great deal about the intricacies of the Glock design from this course. The course instructor uses simple language and great videography to explain how each part interacts with its peers to form a 3D jigsaw to repeatedly launch bullets safely and accurately.
The instructor explains each aspect of the gun’s several safeties, the barrel locking system, and minutiae like the magazine release and recoil mechanism. He demonstrates in a clear and easy-to-understand fashion the differences between each generation and model as well as how to safely disassemble the gun.
