Honor Defense has expanded the color options for its Honor Guard 9mm pistol.
The Honor Guard can now be purchased in the following colors: Purple Reign, Acid Green, Battleship Gray, Electric Blue, Enigma Blue, Mahogany and Turquoise. Previously, the only available colors for these guns were standard black, OD green and flat dark earth.
“The new colors round out our standard offering and brings our color count to 10 total,” Honor Defense president Gary Ramey said in the presser.
“These new colors join our standard FDE, OD Green, Black pistols and grips for consumers. We’ve found that color drives sales among consumers and LE. Many of our LE customers prefer the Battleship Gray, FDE and OD Green. The LE/Pro models are now available in those colors.”
Honor Defense also says some dealers have started stocking various color grips to leverage the pistol’s modular design.
First introduced to the marketplace in late 2015, the single stack Honor Defense Honor Guard features ambidextrous controls; stainless steel modular chassis; snag-free sights with cocking ledge; short crisp trigger; custom designed grip with advanced texture for improved control; and custom serrations over the top of the slide.
The gun measures 6.2 inches in overall length in its standard subcompact configuration. The FIST (Firearm with Integrated Standoff) model is 6.6 inches long, while the long slide version is 6.8 inches. The subcompact and FIST versions also sport a 3.2-inch barrel. The long slide has a 3.8-inch barrel.
Shipping out with a 7-round and 8-round magazine, the Honor Guard is available at a MSRP of $499.
