Let’s face it: Nobody likes loading magazines. It’s tedious, it’s time-consuming and it’s not exactly pleasant on your thumbs. But there’s a device called the MagPump that seemingly addresses these issues, and the company of the same name just released its new 9mm Luger magazine loader.
The MagPump is a hopper-fed ammunition loader that reduces loading time by over 50 percent. To use, you simply insert the loose ammunition into the 50-round capacity hopper. Then you insert the magazine. After that, you pull the lever to start loading. The hopper itself orients ammunition in either direction. Built-in safeties prevent ammunition damage. Loading automatically stops when the magazine is full.
The 9mm Luger mag loader is capable of loading up to 30 rounds in 30 seconds. It comes with six adaptable retainers to fit various magazine brands.
“As gun owners ourselves, we know how time-consuming loading magazines can be, and how repetitive loading fatigues your hands,” Garret Armstrong, MagPump’s chief marketing officer, said in the press release. “MagPump solves those problems by offering a more efficient way to load magazines. There’s no other product like this on the market. We’re proud to make the MagPump 9mm Luger available to military personnel, law enforcement, shooting competitors, and gun enthusiasts.”
This loader is available in two models: the standard version which boasts a lightweight polymer construction; and the Elite version, which is CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum billet and black anodized with laser engraving. MSRP on the standard model is $149.99. The elite version is priced at $799.99.
The 9mm Luger loader can accommodate double-stack magazines from these handguns:
