Thompson/Center Arms has launched the T/CR22, a new, feature-rich, affordable as all get-out rimfire rifle.
Aimed toward plinkers, first-time shooters and hunters, the T/CR22 boasts a 17-inch button-rifled barrel with a threaded muzzle; green fiber optic front sight; adjustable rear peep sight; built-in Picatinny rail for accessories; and a light, crisp trigger pull. In addition, it’s compatible with a majority of aftermarket 10/22 accessories, and its modular design features a lightweight Magpul co-branded OD green composite stock.
“Thompson/Center has a long, storied history of innovation in firearms, from muzzleloaders to bolt-action rifles. When we decided it was time to develop our next rimfire rifle, we wanted to be sure to continue that trend,” Danielle Sanville, Thompson/Center’s brand manager, said in a press release. “The new T/CR22 rifle incorporates upgraded features right out of the box – from its enhanced materials, to its ergonomics, to its compatability with aftermarket components. We’ve taken the opportunity to contemporize a classic through advancements in design, and we are confident that our customers will appreciate the features in the new T/CR22 rifle.”
The .22 LR T/CR22 rifle ships with one 10-round detachable rotary magazine. The MSRP is $399. Check out the hype video below for a closer look.
