Ed Brown Products dropped a video recently, showing off its newest firearm, and at first glance, it impresses. A collaboration between Ed Brown Products and ZEV Technologies, the EB/ZEV 1911 leaves nothing to be desired. Ed Brown first launched a 1911 with ZEV in 2018, and now the duo is back again with a Flat Dark Earth model for 2019.
“Last year’s collaboration was such a huge success for both ZEV and Ed Brown we had to do it again,” said Dave Roberts, VP of marketing and business development, ZEV Technologies. “The expert craftsmen at Ed Brown products know our style and have been able to capture it again with this stunning 1911.”

A blend of ZEV’s unique styling with Ed Brown’s classic quality 1911, this new collaboration builds on the success of the prior year EB/ZEV pistol, and takes it to a new level. Incredibly sophisticated slide cuts show off both ZEV’s innovative designs, and Ed Brown’s state-of-the-art custom machining ability. Just a few of the highlights include: 9mm Commander SR barrel with ZEV dimples, ZEV “Orion” slide cuts package, Alien forestrap and housing, lightrail with scallops, Trijicon RMR, tactical ambi, one-piece blended magwell, recessed slide stop w/ serrated pin, and G4 black coating finish out this show-stopping masterpiece of functional artistic craftsmanship.
This Commander Lightrail 9mm model is fully machined and adorned with ZEV Orion slide cuts package. The FDE version features FDE upper and lower, with black accents for a striking appearance, with a Black Nitride suppressor ready barrel with ZEV dimples. The front strap and blended magwell housing features Brown’s new Alien metal treatment, matched with Alien grips. Scallops on the lightrail, a recessed slide stop with serrated pin, and Trijicon RMR with co-witnessing tritium sights, finish out this unique take on a Commander 1911.
