The premise of the Fueled Series centers around taking high standards the company has helped achieve in 1911 parts and handguns an applying those techniques to other handgun platforms. The first platform of choice to be “fueled by Ed Brown” is the Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0.
Ed Brown Fueled Series
Ed Brown breaks the pistol down to its foundations, giving the platform a complete overhaul. It begins with a custom accuracy rail to improve barrel lockup and accuracy, the slide and barrel are perfectly mated to achieve exception fit, according to Ed Brown. Next comes a fully machined custom slide, featuring custom cuts for a striking appearance. However, material remains in all the right areas for hard use and to maintain functionality. Inside, a 416 stainless, button rifled match barrel utilizes Ed Brown tread flutes. It comes with 1/2×28 threads and a custom thread protector, making it suppressor ready.
A re-designed and re-engineered custom extractor mates perfectly to the custom slide, ensure reliability. Custom sights, trigger and a 360-degree magwell paired with machined base pads add to the custom touches. Machined frame pins and an aluminum backplate with custom serrations round out the package.
Like all Ed Brown 1911s, the company builds all Fueled Series pistols by hand, one at a time. In addition to Fueled M&P pistols, Ed Brown offers a full line of fully machined parts and accessories for the M&P and M&P 2.0.
“Now you can look to Ed Brown for more than just 1911s,” said John May, sales and marketing director, Ed Brown Products. “With the addition of the Fueled Series we are offering other popular handgun platforms, fully customized for the best possible accuracy and reliability. As we have for over 50 years, we’re continuing to break new ground in the custom handgun market. If you haven’t looked at Ed Brown in while, it is time to Look Again!”
