Everyone’s favorite anti-gun actress (sarcasm), Alyssa Milano, just released her latest anti-gun bloviation. Milano took to Twitter yesterday, bashing American citizens for exercising the Second Amendment rights during the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Alyssa Milano: Stop the Coronavirus Gun Surge
Never mind the recent Newsy poll that showed one in 20 households purchased firearms. Disregard that up to one in every 10 home actively considers getting a gun, according to the same study. Forget the fact that states like Idaho and South Dakota chose to expand 2A rights during the pandemic. Because, obviously, gun control makes us less safe during anytime of crisis.
Above all, totally ignore the fact that record sales of guns and ammunition overwhelming reflects the will of the American people. Both right and left of the isle, longtime and first-time gun owners continue to turn out and purchase the supplies they think they need to keep their families safe during uncertain times.
Well, Milano apparently ignored all of that data. This isn’t the first time Milano spoke out against guns, and it usually doesn’t end well for her. Remember when Ted Cruz totally shredded Milano in an alleged “debate” on guns? It proved to be no debate. Milano showed she remained completely, unequivocally out of her depth. If you’ve never seen it, watch it over at BallisticMag.com.
Alyssa Milano Statement
But just forget all of that. Milano, who plays pretend for a living, she knows better. Her statement in full:
Hi everybody. So I’m making this video because I’m seeing reports all over the country of Americans responding to the coronavirus outbreak by buying up guns and ammunition. And I know that we are all scared and stressed out during these really uncertain times. But that is exactly why stockpiling weapons, could have dire consequences for our own personal safety and those around us. You know, the weapons that people are buying today could end up being used in households, schools, churches, bars and on our streets in the future. We all have to look out for each other. So, please, please, please share this video to help stop the coronavirus gun surge. We can’t lose any more lives to guns during this pandemic or after it’s over.
Our friend John “Tig” Tiegen—yes, one of the men who fought for America in Benghazi—had the following response for Milano. We think you’ll agree it’s perfect.
Go away Alyssa. Just go away.
