A long-time primary bayonet provider for the U.S. Military, Ontario knife Company reveals its newest—patent-pending—innovation, the OKC Retractable Bayonet. This latest design brings their bayonet design experience to the civilian market. Make sure to check your local laws regarding ownership or carry of an out the front blade or bayonet.
“OKC has been making high-quality bayonets for the U.S. military for decades, and this new retractable bayonet design is unlike anything we’ve ever created before,” said Kenneth Trbovich, President and CEO of Ontario Knife Company. “With its unique retractable feature, premium materials used and ability to easily mount to your AR or any Picatinny Rail System, it truly is a multifunctional blade and we’re excited to launch it to the civilian market.”
The OKC Retractable Bayonet
Housed in a 6-inch long by 1.5-inch wide 6061-T6 aluminum housing, with black anodized finish, the retractable bayonet affixes to any firearm with a picatinny rail. The 6-inch blade is high quality .1875-inch-thick S35VN stainless steel—known for its superior toughness and wear resistance. The under-one-pound bayonet measures 13 inches when opened and 7 inches closed.
The OKC Retractable Bayonet features one-handed operation via a spring-loaded, stainless steel knob. It is mountable at any position on your picatinny rail, so you decide how much blade extends past the barrel. Additionally, the mounting method allows the bayonet to be quickly removed from your firearm and used as a standalone knife.
At this time there is no release date or MSRP, but we will post more details as they become available. Until then you can also check OntarioKnife.com for further news.
