Not everyone is comfortable carrying a firearm, and that is ok. For this reason, there are less than lethal options on the market. For example, comes the latest offering from TASER, the Bolt 2 personal defense energy weapon. Even if you don’t have a violent bone in your body, you can still take your self-defense seriously.
The TASER Bolt 2
Housed in high-impact polymer, the discreet, non-gun form factor, straight edges, and soft-touch finish make it easy to carry. Likewise, at 6.5-inches long, 2.4-inches tall, and 1.6-inches thick, the Bolt 2 will fit in a jacket pocket or purse.
With a range of 15 feet, the Bolt 2 utilizes the same technology trusted by public safety. As a result, it can immobilize an attacker for up to 30 seconds. Additionally, the Bolt 2 connects to a smartphone and alerts dispatchers when it is discharged. Likewise, GPS location information is transmitted directly to the police for faster response times.
An integral red class 2 laser also provides aiming assistance under duress. Similarly, a built-in 210 lumen LED light illuminates the target in low-light situations. The laser, light, and taser are powered by replaceable CR123 lithium batteries. In addition, a safety cap helps prevent unintended discharge.
The TASER Bolt 2 includes access to a network of certified instructors for training and support. Additionally, the Safe Escape Guarantee provides a free replacement of any device lost after discharge in self-defense.
“We are excited to announce the launch of this next-generation personal safety device that will allow customers to protect themselves with confidence,” says Matt Angorn, VP of Axon Consumer Products. “The enhancements and safety features of the TASER Bolt 2 non-lethal energy weapon will provide civilians with peace of mind and the ability to safely protect themselves, their loved ones and their communities.”
The TASER Bolt 2 is available for pre-order now, with an MSRP of $449.00, and will be shipping in Spring 2022. For more info, please visit Taser.com.
