Riton Optics Updates Its 3 Tactix MPRD and PRD Pistol Sights to 2nd Gen

With feedback on their popular 3 Tactix PRD and 3 Tactix MPRD pistol sights, Riton optics releases version 2. The company shared the details with us at the last Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous.

The Riton Optics 3 Tactix PRD 2 and 3 Tactix MPRD 2 Pistol Sights

Both pistol sights share the same features with only a couple of small differences. They are each constructed of 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and are shockproof (tested up to 1500 G’s). They also feature 100% waterproof and fog proof construction, assembled in an EP-level clean room, for dust-free optics.

The fully multi-coated HD glass lenses feature optimal clarity and long-lasting performance. Both models provide shake awake technology, with auto-off after 3 minutes, for longer battery life. Additionally, the low battery indicator notifies you when it is time to change the batteries.

Each of the Riton Optics pistol sights features auto-brightness of the red dot reticle. As a result, the optics auto-dim in low light conditions, and brighten when you re-enter brighter conditions. In addition, both feature 1 MOA windage and elevation adjustment.

One area where the two differ is in battery type and life. The 3 Tactix PRD 2 utilizes a CR1632 battery for 40,000 hours of use. Whereas the 3 Tactix MPRD 2 has the CR2032 battery for 50,000 hours of life. The only other difference is that the 3 Tactix MPRD 2 has the Shield RMSc type footprint. Whereas the 3 Tactix PRD 2 does not.
