The B&T SPC9 PDW SD Suppressed.

B&T USA expands its SPC9 lineup with the new PDW SD Suppressed. The only thing that makes a pistol-caliber carbine better, is to put a suppressor on it. But not just any suppressor, B&T’s RBS (Reduced Backpressure System) suppressor. So, now you can enjoy a day on the range and still breathe the fresh air.

The PDW SD is the fifth model in B&T’s SPC9 family. Like the rest of the SPC9 line-up, the PDW SD is a true hybrid of the APC9, MP5, and AR platforms. As a result, comes a PCC with all the great features of each rifle and familiar AR handling features and ergonomics.

However, the SPC9 can accept all APC9 PRO lower receiver groups. For this reason, the user can modify it to accommodate Glock or SIG P320 9mm magazines. Not to mention, the B&T proprietary magazines. Each lower receiver group is non-serialized, so it can be switched easily and legally.

A unique feature of the SPC9 is the two charging handle systems. The classic AR-style handle is in place for those that prefer the AR feel. But for those that prefer to keep their PCC shouldered, is a non-reciprocating, foldable charging handle above the barrel. Both systems are ambidextrous and give the operator the choice to use whatever manual of arms they prefer.

Chambered in 9mm, the 4.5-inch short-barreled rifle (SBR) configuration features an integrally suppressed, ported barrel system. Likewise, the system is compatible with an included RBS (Reduced Backpressure System) suppressor. The RBS suppressor features a unique design that significantly reduces the combustion gases ejected from the ejection window.

Rounds are sent downrange via a two-stage trigger system, for enhanced control. When fired, the B&T innovative and effective hydraulic buffer system helps ensure the lightest recoiling 9mm carbine available. Meaning, faster target acquisition between follow-up shots for improved accuracy.

From the Manufacturer

“The SPC9 PDW SD is modern and unique in many ways, while at the same time providing familiarity,” said Jon Scott Vice President of Sales, B&T USA. “This integrally suppressed model features a non-standard suppressor design that performs as advertised, while at the same time boasting a slim, ergonomic handguard with useable M-LOK compatible slots for mounting enablers.”
