Since the founding of our country, elections have not only been considered important but part of our civic duty. However, in recent years the electoral process has become even more important than ever. And these coming midterms are crucial to the survival of our constitution and Second Amendment. Specifically, President Joe Biden promises an “assault weapons” ban if Democrats pick up two more seats in the Senate.
Biden Promises “Assault Weapons” Ban Following Mid Terms
We recently reported that the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2022” passed the House and made its way to the Senate. The vote to ban “assault weapons” follows the Uvalde, Texas school shooting and mass shootings at Highland Park and Buffalo, New York.
At the moment, the bill is still sitting with the Senate and waiting for a vote. With five sitting House Democrats opposing the bill, I believe Biden is worried they don’t have the support in the Senate to pass it. This has him calling for Democrat voters to exclude any candidate who opposes the ban.
Fox News writes, “President Biden said that Americans should not vote for any midterm candidate who does not support the assault weapons ban, after several Democrat representatives seeking re-election voted against the ban in July.”
The White House is aware that an “assault weapons” ban is becoming increasingly unpopular with the American people. So, Biden fired up the gaslight at a recent rally in Maryland ahead of the midterms. What’s the best way to get the left to support bad policies? Remind them that they are in great peril from their fascistic political opponents if they don’t, of course.
During his recent teleprompter reading, Biden informed the slightly crowded but still very comfortable High School gym, “The MAGA Republicans don’t just threaten our personal rights and economic security. They’re a threat to our very democracy. They refuse to accept the will of the people. They embrace – embrace – political violence.”
With the terror established and common sense filtered from the room, it was time to announce his big plan:
“If we elect two more Senators, we keep the house…the Democrats…we’re gonna get a lot of unfinished business done…we’ll ban assault weapons,” He yelled before stumbling to the finish.
The American People Do Not Support “Assault Weapons” Bans
Throughout this year, Republicans have been exposing gun control advocates and the fallacy of gun control. This is causing a unique problem for Democrat candidates throughout the United States. Do they side with American citizens? Or do they side with the party and suffer potentially humiliating defeat?
With surmounting evidence that guns save lives in the hands of responsible, legal gun owners, the narrative is falling apart. Specifically, violent gun crime is rising dramatically in Democrat-run cities with the most gun control. As a result, citizens are rejecting more gun control. This is causing many Democrats to attempt workarounds to target gun sales and gun manufacturers.
However, Republicans are taking a different path and looking to America’s mental health crisis.
In the Fox News story, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is quoted as saying, “Ever since Texas has been a state, an 18-year-old has been able to buy a long gun. It’s only in the last decade or two when we had school shootings… So for a century and a half, 18-year-olds could buy rifles, and we didn’t have school shootings, but we do now. Maybe we’re focusing our attention on the wrong thing.”
The American people aren’t stupid and want real answers. Pandering isn’t working anymore. If candidates refuse to look at the realities of the problem, voters will turn to candidates who will.
Our message is the opposite of Biden’s. If a candidate supports gun control in any way, don’t vote for them. Get out and vote these gun control zealots out of office. They are the real threat to our constitution and, in conjunction, our democracy.
